Since we do not have a satellite for TV, we rely on over the air antenna TV, and occasionally when a campground offers cable, we are happy to be able to watch Fox News and OAN, as MSM news is not worth watching.

So as I was perusing one of the RV Facebook pages someone mentioned a website called USTVGO.TV where we could actually watch cable TV stations. Since it must be watched through a computer, tablet or cell phone with Nord VPN downloaded for best quality, the only way we could watch it was through my computer. I did not like that idea since it would mean taking my use of the computer away just to watch TV.  So I was trying to think of a different way to watch this TV website.

We already had a Chromecast so I thought I would by a router, download the VPN onto it and run the Chromecast and a cell phone through the router to watch the TV website. That did not work, and then a neighbor suggested buying a NextD TV, which turns out to be an android computer set up specifically for your TV.  After researching the NextD, I decided on buying it.

Setup was easy; I hooked up the HDMI cord, installed the connection for our wireless keyboard, and plugged it in. Setup started on its own by looking for WiFi devices and hooked up directly to my Jetpack, which is our WiFi through Verizon. You have other options for WiFi, such as using the hotspot on your cell phone.  This is the home screen:

There is the Media Center, Games, All Apps, Support, Lifestyle & Utility and Settings.  At the bottom you can see some icons. Chrome for Internet, (I got rid of the next two) and added NextD, Nord VPN, Play Store and Prime Video.

To get Nord VPN, you need to pull up the USTVGO.TV website where there will be a link to purchase the Nord VPN. You should probably do this step on your computer to keep your purchasing private. After you buy the Nord VPN, you can go to the Play Store and download the app onto your phone, tablet, and the NextD. Then go to Chrome and download the USTVGO.TV website, and watch all sorts of television channels.

We have not tried the Apps yet. We are still in the learning process. But we have learned that your wireless keyboard can replace the remote control comes in the package. You can also download the NextD app on your cell phone and turn it into a remote control.

Now, if you have a Smart TV, things are completely different. We just purchased a Smart TV as our "Dumb" TV stopped working.
