During all of our travels, we have never been to Kansas to visit anything. However, during 2021 on our way back west from our eastern travels, we ended up there. I was planning on heading north to Iowa and then South Dakota, but Jim's PSA count came in high and the doctor said we should head back to Texas so he could see a urologist. We stayed at Linn Valley RV Park in Linn Valley, Kansas. This picture was taken when we visited St. Philippine Duchesne Memorial Park.

As we traveled south from Iowa into Kansas in 2023, we stopped at a mobile home & RV Park in Pittsburg. We stayed there a couple of days and decided to go to the local miner's museum to see what kind of mining was in Kansas during the 1900s. The above picture is a mural painted on the side of a building depicting the beginning of a miner's day as they rode the coal cars down into the mines. The last view they had of the day was the beautiful countryside before being lowered into the depths of the mines into total darkness lit only by their carbide lamps.

It is now 2025 and we are on our way north again, heading to Cody, Wyoming. We are traveling through Kansas right now, with our first stop in Liberal, Kansas, then Dodge City, and finally Oakley, Kansas.
