We made it to South Dakota in May 2017 on our way to West Yellowstone. We started out from Florida in February, up through Alabama to Branson, Missouri, then north on I-29 and into South Dakota. We headed west on I-90 out of Sioux Falls with our first major stop in Wall. From there we stayed in Rapid City for a week, visiting the sights in the area. Never realized there was so much to see in South Dakota, and we did not even get to all of it.  There are some National Parks we did not see, so we will probably head back there some year.
