Workamping

We joined Workamper about two years before we decided to hit the road.  We learned about the organization from a friend who had work camped for a while before he actually retired.  There are lots and lots of people living the RV lifestyle that need to work on the road.  It is interesting to find out that there are many other people in our shoes.

Also, it is good to know that there is a company specifically set up to match RVers with jobs.  Workamper News knows RVers and their needs, and the employers that advertise with them also know RVers.  So there is no need to explain to an employer that we would be temporary, or to explain why our home address is out of state, or to explain our entire educational and work history.

What is the number-one advantage of the Workamper lifestyle?

Freedom of Place—that is being able to go wherever you want and stay as long as you want because of your Workamper income and perks.

For instance, it takes months to fully explore places like Yellowstone Park, yet due to the high cost of living and campground stay limits, the average visit lasts only a few days. Workampers who spend the entire summer in Yellowstone leave knowing the park as well as the locals! Freedom of Place also means warm winters, cool summers, time with the grandkids, time away from the grandkids and a million other enticing benefits!

Evaluating a Workamping Opportunity

Signing up for Workamper:

After reading all of this information, are ready to join Workamper?  Great, let's get started.

When you go onto the Workamper website, you will be on the main page.  Right there in the middle you will see "Register your account today and begin your Workamping adventure!" Next to that "Click Here to Get Started."  After clicking there, you will be taken to another page with two sections: "Become a Workamper" or "Become an Employer."  Of course, you will click on "Become a Workamper."  This will take you to another page where you register to become a Workamper.

Next is checkout.  We would ask that you think of us by inserting the code "Kerch137977" into the section marked "Promo Code" on the page where you insert your address and payment information. As Workamper Concierge we are compensated when people join and use our code.

After registering and logging in, go to the "Dashboard" area of Workamper.  You can reach this by looking near the top right of the page and clicking on "Dashboard."
There is a lot of information on this board; this is where you go for everything happening in Workamper.

The first thing you need to do is build your resume, which you do under the Resume Builder heading.  This is where employers go to review your resume and the information you provide will give them an idea of your skills and qualifications.

The Board is also where you can view Hotline Jobs and the Online Magazine.  We recommend you download the Member Manual and also look to see when a Workamper Rendezvous will be held and signing up for one.

We hope that you will consider joining the Workamper family and start making some extra money along with learning about the area you are working in.  Please drop us a line and let us know how you are doing and where you are working.  We enjoy hearing from everyone!
