MIDWEST ZONE

Heading back to Texas after our 2019 trip up the east coast to Maine, we stayed at a some Thousand Trails along the way.

Indiana
Horseshoe Lakes, Clinton
The park does not have many open sites for rental; most people here are annuals. Section B full with annuals and Section A had a few sites open for rent. FHU; water quality good; electric good; picnic table and fire ring. No cable and internet semi-OK; lots of OTA TV stations. Many trails for walking (golf cart trails); lakes for boating or fishing. Family Center with activities; swimming pool, mini golf, playground, horseshoes; tent sites. Laundry located in Adult Center.

Kentucky
Diamond Caverns, Park City
Put us in the middle row of FHU pull through 30amp sites that are VERY close together and facing one another. There are other 30amp sites but we were not told about those. The water quality was good; electric good; picnic table & fire ring. Tent sites. Big pool; playground; activities; huge grassy areas all over. Laundry $$ Diamond Caverns golf course has a golf cart trail behind office to walk dogs to golf course. Verizon coverage good; OTA TV stations good. There is also a bike & walking trail that goes all the way to the Visitor Center.

Ohio
Kenisee Lake, Jefferson
Nice back in site FHU with good quality water and electric. Gravel site with picnic table and fire pit. Lots of annual people here with a few sites open for short stays. They have a pool and playground. Six washers and dryers in the laundry room, reasonable cost. There are no trails into the woods but there is a trail around the park and around Kenisee Lake. They have a ton of Canada geese here and they wander all over the grass, road and leave their dropping everywhere (UCK). So far I have not seen any activities for the guests as lots of them just seem to come on the weekend.
