As we traveled north during the summer of 2019, we went to North Carolina and stayed for a week along the Outer Banks, a narrow strip of land with only a two-lane road running about 70 miles from end to end.  We went during off season, which was great as I could not imagine being there in the summer. Our campground was right on Cape Hatteras National Seashore with two places to walk straight onto the beach. As an added benefit, dogs were allowed on the beach, which was unusual.  I took the above picture off the Outer Banks while staying there.

Our next trip to North Carolina was in 2021 after visiting with friends and family in Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia. We came up here to visit with a young lady who used to be a student of my oldest friend, Karen.  We had become friends on Facebook and we wanted to come to meet her.  While in Mocksville, we made some trips to a couple of museums.
